DESCRIPTION:Geen Leaseweb Texel Airshow in 2023 \n\n\n\nPersbericht: De organisatie van de Leaseweb Texel Airshow heeft besloten om de geplande vliegshow van 2023 af te gelasten. Volgens Ed de Bruijn\, samen met Jan Frederici en Mike de Bruijn verantwoordelijk voor de organisatie van het driejaarlijkse evenement op Vliegveld Texel\, liggen aan die beslissing meerdere factoren ten grondslag. \n\n\n\nDoor de fors gestegen kosten wordt het volgens De Bruijn lastig om de begroting rond te krijgen. ‘Zelfs al zou onze trouwe hoofdsponsor Leaseweb het sponsorbedrag verhogen\, dan moeten ook de andere sponsoren dat doen en we hebben gemerkt dat de bereidheid daartoe klein is. Alle kosten zoals accommodatie en brandstoffen zijn ook aanzienlijk hoger. Daar staat tegenover dat we de entreegelden niet substantieel kunnen verhogen\, want dan gaat het overgrote deel van de toeschouwers buiten het terrein kijken.’ \n\n\n\nStikstofNiet alleen de gestegen kosten hebben tot het besluit geleid. Ook het maatschappelijk debat over stikstof en CO2-uitstoot speelt een rol. ‘Normaal gesproken krijgen we vanuit de provincie veel medewerking. Nu hebben we een waslijst aan extra maatregelen gemaild gekregen\, waarin o.a. wordt verwezen naar Natura 2000 en de Natuurbeschermingswet. Het is maar de vraag of we aan al die aanvullende eisen kunnen voldoen\, want er heerst veel onduidelijkheid. Daarnaast dreigt het risico dat er op het laatste moment nog een extra beperking uit de hoge hoed komt\, waardoor we alsnog moeten besluiten de vliegshow af te gelasten. Dat risico kunnen we niet lopen.’ \n\n\n\nDeelnemersEen ander risico vormen de deelnemers. ‘We hebben al diverse civiele acts benaderd\, maar ook hiervan zijn de kosten enorm gestegen. Deelname van militaire teams lukt waarschijnlijk wel\, tenzij de spanningen met Rusland verder oplopen en de buitenlandse luchtmachten hun deelnemers terugtrekken. Dan zitten we met een half programma.’ Ook een afname van het aantal vrijwilligers dat bij de airshow helpt en aangescherpte eisen rond de veiligheid hebben bijgedragen aan de beslissing. \n\n\n\nLeasewebHoofdsponsor Leaseweb was volgens De Bruijn teleurgesteld\, maar begripvol. DESCRIPTION:Texel “Wings over Holland” Fly-in 2024\n\n\n\nAFGELAST\n\n\n\nHartelijk dank voor uw inschrijving tot deelname aan de Texel “Wings over Holland” Fly-in 2024. Helaas hebben we moeten besluiten om de fly-in niet te laten doorgaan. Na overleg met de Meteo lijkt de weersverwachting voor vrijdag (heel veel wind) en zaterdag (hele dag regen en (lage) bewolking) te slecht om veilig VFR van en naar Texel International Airport te vliegen. Daarnaast is kamperen op een open veld in die omstandigheden ook niet heel fijn.  \n\n\n\nMocht het zaterdag toch nog goed vliegweer te zijn\, dan bent u nog steeds van harte welkom. De overlandlanding is dan GRATIS. Er zal echter geen Airfair zijn. DESCRIPTION:Beste deelnemer\,Na onze vorige mail hebben wij veel afzeggingen ontvangen met als voornaamste reden de weersverwachtingen voor het komend weekend.Na overleg met de Gemeente Texel\, de Meteo en Outdoor Cinema hebben wij als organisatie besloten de Cinema Fly-in van 24 mei 2025 te annuleren. De combinatie van (flinke) perioden met regen en de harde wind zijn funest voor dit unieke evenement. De veiligheid van de deelnemers staat bij ons voorop\, niet alleen tijdens de fly-in\, maar ook tijdens de aankomst- en vertrekdag.  Daarnaast heeft scherm van Outdoor Cinema ook een windlimiet.Wij rekenen op begrip voor deze moeilijke beslissing. Samen met Outdoor Cinema\, de Gemeente Texel en Restaurant Kooger kijken we of we de Cinema Fly-in later dit jaar nog organiseren.
